March 2020, the shutdown hit my city. As everyone paused to take a collective breath, I too paused to reflect. In doing so, I rediscovered the free flowing energy that comes from creating for the purpose of creation itself. Cooking and photographing these meals brought much needed life to my body and soul. There is no single thread tying the food stories together, except that they were all prepared while quarantined and they brought me joy--both to eat and to photograph.
