About

John Gallo is a social documentary photographer who tells stories with photographs addressing his deep interest about the critical issues for the sustainability of developed countries. He explores new ways to expound reality, conveying emotions, feelings and contexts.

John Gallo has been taking pictures since 1981 when he found, lost inside a drawer, his father’s Halina Paulette Electric bought in 1969 to photograph his newly born son. He started to explore the object, loving instantly the touch of the dials – the whole process was a revelation and the relationship that he established with the camera was magical – "the moment you release the shutter and imagine what the final result will be is charged with a set of emotions that is not comparable with anything else I have experienced so far”.

John Gallo’s commitment to photography is evident in his unique aesthetic vision.
