About
Kate is the Head of Content and Stories at SightSavers.org, an international non-governmental organisation that works with partners in developing countries to treat and prevent avoidable blindness, and promote equality for people with visual impairments and other disabilities.

Focus: Sourcing inspiring and engaging content from Sightsavers' programmes around the world, for use in communications, fundraising and donor relations. My role aims to build closer ties with our programme country offices, supporting field staff to document success stories from their work and identifying opportunities for in-depth story development. I work with professional photographers and videographers across Asia and Africa to capture beautiful and moving images, and interview our beneficiaries and staff to give them a voice in our communications, as well as writing about my own experiences of our projects. I develop systems and processes to build content collection capacity across the organisation and ensure information is widely shared. Recently I've been involved in developing child safeguarding and ethical content collection practices.
