This photo series depicts the scenes at a local hip-hop show in Kabiro Village, which is located in Kawangware, Nairobi County. Numerous musical artists attend these and similar local shows not only to perform their musical works, but also to expose themselves to opportunities of being scouted by record label owners, producers, to mention but a few. Amongst such artists are Chaka Rappers, a boy-band hip-hop group based in Amboseli, Kawangware, who I began documenting in the pandemic year 2020.
