MILAN, ITALY – FEBRUARY 10, 2024: A demonstration against the Winter Olympics 2026 which the protesters say to be “unsustainable”, both environment and economy-wise. “Cementificazione” means “covering with concrete”, and “sfratti” means “evictions”; the words are a list of negative elements that the organizations opposing the olympics associate to the games.

The “NO BOB” sign refers to the question of bobsleigh track for the games; a new track should be built to Cortina D’Ampezzo, but it would need removing trees on a large area. The other sign translates roughly “Winter games - Hellish games”.
