Thousands of people dressed in green swarmed the streets to see the city's 117th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The 'Southie' Parade is one of the largest St. Patrick's Day Parades in the United States, attracting up to 1 million spectators each year. It has become a prominent part of South Boston's history (Boston's most irish neighborhood).
