'No Justice, No Peace!' - Protests in solidarity with BLM and against racism in Germany
Various speeches addressed the situation in the United States and the protests of the Black community after the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Activists of Cafe Exil and several other speaker also criticized everyday racism in Germany, discrimination of migrants and refugees and the violent police discrimination against racialized people.
On Sunday 7th June, 800 people joined a protest against racial profiling and police violence. The previous night two BPoC were arrested and brutally attacked by police officers at Kesselbrink.
*Update, June 13th: Up to 1000 people took part in another demonstration against racism and police violence.
