Syed Mahamudur Rahman

Syed Mahamudur Rahman is a photojournalist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He started his photography journey during college, capturing the moments of hostel life with an ordinary phone camera. What started as a hobby developed into a keen commitment to visual storytelling. While studying Media Communication and Journalism at Stamford University, Rahman decided to pursue photojournalism as a profession. He feels that photojournalism is one of those mediums that have the ability to convey truth, express emotions, and create a social impact. Rahman’s photographs have been featured in renowned publications worldwide, such as the New York Times, Time, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Forbes, and BBC. Currently, he is studying for a professional diploma at Counter Foto, a prestigious photography school, to further enhance his skills. Rahman’s goal is to capture important social issues through his work, compelling viewers to face harsh realities. He aims to evoke empathy in people, motivating them to take meaningful actions and bring about positive transformations in everyone’s lives.
