Lindsay Morris received her BFA from the University of Michigan School of Art. Morris discovered her passion for photography on a yearlong Rotary Youth Exchange program in South Africa and continued her photographic studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with Barbara Crane, The School for International Training, Nairobi, Kenya, and with Joanne Leonard in Ann Arbor, MI.


Lindsay’s work has been published in TIME Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, Vanity Fair, Scientific American, GEO International, Marie Claire, Elle, and Internazionale and has been featured on BBC News and NBC Nightly News


Exhibitions include Paris Photo PX3 Award (2023); The Leiber Collection, NY; ICP Concerned, NY; The The Newport Art Museum, RI; Parrish Art Museum, NY; Hamburg Triennial, Germany; Fotofest, Houston; and Photoville Brooklyn, NY.


Morris is a TED Speaker whose talk from TEDWomen 2023 will be published in March of 2024. She is an Artist-in-Residence at The Watermill Center Watermill, NY (2024) and a recipient of the NYFA JGS Photography Fellowship (2023). She resides with her family on Long Island's East End
