Witness of violence is a work that shows a collection of images captured during the last decade in Veracruz, Mexico, one of the states most affected by the violence of drug cartels.

The project shows images of pain, such as murders in the streets due to clashes between rival gangs, the effects of homelessness of children and youth, violent deaths of authorities and the relationship between government and crime, as well as groups of family members seeking to their loved ones who disappeared and were buried in clandestine graves.

A visual tour of the geography marked by blood, a passport to the memory of a territory that has historically fought several battles.

Since November 2018 Witness of Violence is a book published in Mexico under the signature of Juan Pablos editores and produced with funds from the National Council of Science and Technology.
