The town of Pollença, at the North of Mallorca, celebrates every summer the victory of their citizens against a pirate attack. The small city recreates the battle over the corsaries.
In 2019, for the first time, women can participate in the battle simulation defending the city. I have followed a group of young pioneer women who are first allowed to defend their city since 1550.
