Born in the mountains of Colorado in May 1983, I spent much of my youth outdoors rock climbing and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. In high school, I discovered both my passion for photography as well as my curiosity for different cultures and places. My travels have taken me throughout Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Italy, Israel, Jordan and Egypt. I specialize in Editorial, Documentary, and Travel photography in the South West United States and Latin America. In addition to photography, I work in video and film. My next project titled Campania In-Felix (Unhappy Country) began production in the summer of 2010.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in News Editorial Journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
I have been recognized by the 61st College Photographer of the Year competition with an Honorable Mention for Documentary, the 2006 Hearst Journalism Awards as a National Finalist and by the Society of Professional Journalists.
I speak English, Spanish and I’m learning Italian.
A selection of my clients include: Mother Jones Magazine, DISCOVER Magazine, AARP, National Public Radio, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Blick (Switzerland), The National (Abu Dhabi), Bloomberg News, Boston Globe, Chronicle of Higher Education, Dallas Morning News, NYC & Company, Canadian Business Monthly, Latina Magazine, D Magazine, Denver Magazine, Rocky Mountain News, Tribeza Magazine, IEEE Spectrum Magazine, Pro AV Magazine, Luminant Energy.
