During our time together, Alex (Alexandria Lo Grasso) discussed bits of her personal life along with her recent diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder. Taking a deeper dive into discussing childhood, challenges of life and various angles to her new diagnosis were brought up. Alex found a helpful healing journey through art therapy, using various forms of media where exploring and expressing various parts of herself were also shared. Shown were examples of personal artwork, writings and musical instruments. Often creating from an unconscious natural space, created are intricate abstract drawings, collages and writings that often bring out revealing and relevant messages. Sometimes answers to healing and hope.  Moments with her dog Rusty of 12 years who she can also call her best friend were apparent and vital throughout our time. Alex greatly enjoys finding joy in not only art, but also building new relationships with people and communities around her as she continuous to learn more of herself along this journey.

Alex is deeply enthusiastic of the journey that lies ahead and is eager in sharing her story to not only spread awareness and deeper understanding, but to also help others.
