Maha Minhaj is an art educator, curator, and visual & performance artist based in Karachi. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art (2017) from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, where she majored in Sculpture and minored in New Media Studies. She has worked as a curator and manager with various galleries and organizations.

She was the Assistant Curator for the city-wide third edition of the Karachi Biennale in 2022 and curated a group show, “Homegrown” in 2023 at Full Circle Gallery. Her works were shown at the Venice Biennale in 2017 for the Imago Mundi Collection and at International Public Art Festivals in Karachi in 2019 and 2020. She has also exhibited at Koel Gallery, Full Circle Gallery, Canvas Gallery, T2F Faraar Gallery, and Art Kaam in Karachi. She was selected as one of twelve artists for the Tasweer Ghar residency in 2018.

Her multi-disciplinary practice is embedded in writing, drawing, photography, and performance art, with an interest in collaborative practices. Currently, she’s also working as the photographer for the grassroots movement, Women Democratic Front.

In 2022, she was given a Curatorial Award by the First Lady of Pakistan at the Pakistan Ladies Fund Awards. In 2024 she was granted a Fellowship by The People’s Climate Collective, a program by CSIDC in collaboration with AktivAsia.
