Grant Worth is a Brooklyn based artist who grew up in the forests of Central Wisconsin. Grant is enthusiastic about sound’s relationship to image, the emphemeral, transformations, and the trajectories of human beings.
His video and Polaroid work has been shown most recently at The Norton Museum of Art (Florida, USA), The London LGBT Film Festival (UK), and BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York.) As a member of FCKNLZ, a beauty and lifestyle collective specializing in mistakes, Worth has created immersive experiments for Creative Time (NY), and The Calder Foundation (NY), and completed residencies with Recess (NY), The Ace Hotel (NY), and The Museum of Arts and Design (NY).
Continuing his exploration of collaborative art practice, Worth most recently has been working on a quadrilogy of short films. The first chapter, "Summer†or "My Life As a Woman,†is loosely based on Roseanne Barr’s autobiography of the same title. "I’m interested in creating environments and experiences which allow us to re-explore our own world and the way we relate to one another as mother and father, lovers and strangers, artists and adventureeres, astronomer and star.â€
