"In this long-term photography project, I strive to document the places and people I encounter, capturing their cultural identities within public spaces and on the streets. As I witness the subtle beauty of everyday life slowly fading away, I feel a deep urgency to preserve these moments.
I was born in Pondicherry, in southern India. Growing up in a joint family surrounded by an underprivileged community, growing up in a vibrant, crowded environment shaped my perspective, sparking a passion for documenting identities, emotions, and hidden tales. This upbringing shaped my perspective organically, without formal training, through close observation and meaningful conversations with artists, writers, and storytellers. These interactions have profoundly influenced my understanding of composition, narrative, and the emotional depth of imagery.
At the core of my work lies a simple yet powerful philosophy: I aim to create images that come from the heart, translating my emotional response into visual form. This belief guides my approach, ensuring that every photograph resonates with authenticity and intention.
Currently, I’m focused on engaging with people in public spaces, observing their interactions, and telling their stories through my experiences, exploring and celebrating human connection while revealing the beauty in ordinary moments."
