About

Molly Rose is most known for her raw disposition in photography and videography. Using blue hues and candid timing, if Mapplethorpe and Lachapelle had a whimsical love child, it would be Molly. With a background in mixed media fine art, her work evokes feelings and shows her muses as themselves but still as works of art. "People are what inspires me, so my style is candid. instead of forging a feeling, I capture what is already there.”  Being raised in the Pacific Northwest and transferring to the Northeast she currently resides in Washington DC. Molly’s essence intersects genuine emotion with empowerment and urbanity. Her concepts often reflect social themes because she wants her work to embark positive change. Her subjects range from high profile artists to working class heroes to strangers on the subway. Her work has been featured in dozens of exhibitions nationwide including Miami Art Basel, and publications The Source and XXL. Molly’s talents extend beyond visuals, she is an event curator, talent manager, and co-founder of  WeInTheMixx a creative collective devising a platform for women artists.

"Her work makes you feel something. Her style is raw, that it looks like she’s capturing the moment before the moment”. -Stephanie Schorsh, Merge Arts Philadelphia
