Nilofar is originally from Parwan province but she was born in 1994 in Kabul city. After graduation from high school in 2014, she enrolled in photography Fine Arts Faculty of Kabul University. She received her bachelor diploma in Photography in 2017.
She has participated in several intensive and extensive workshops and she is one of the active members of the Sahar Speaks.
Nilofar has achieved many awards from different institutes in the field of photography; she got the first position in a photography competition organized by Tabian Cultural Center among all Afghanistan photographers in 2015. Her photos were selected in top 15 in GIZ photography competition in 2017 in Kabul. Likewise, her photos were selected among top 18 best photographs in British Embassy photography competition in 2016 in Kabul.
She got a certificate following her active participation in photography competition organized by Ministry of counter Narcotics of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Moreover, Nilofar has participated in several national and international group photo exhibitions. Her photos have been published in different national and international news agencies such as Huffington post, Guardian, BBC, Rasad New Agency, Killid News Agency and 'ANCIENT CITIES AND MODERN VILLAGES' book. Nilofar lives in Kabul and works as documentary photographer.
