Asana and Alhassan
"For a while, I didn't know the boy was blind," said Mike.
Asana, 16, and his younger brother Alhassan, 15, had got Mike's attention. He thought they were playing a bit too rough and even to find out about Alhassan. Mike was moved by how Asana looked out for his brother while playing together at the beach.
When Mike told me about them, I had to see for myself. They were still playing Rough-and-tumble when I met them while leaving the beach.
"Can you take a photo of us and print it for us?", Asana asked when she saw me. I told her yes, but I wouldn't be able to make a print for them. She briefly agreed but later said, "No". I told her I had already taken the photo, and she asked to see it. When I showed her, she smiled and told her brother about it. Alhassan came close to hold my camera, rubbing his hands over the screen and putting a finger in the viewfinder.
We found another photographer who made a print for Alhassan and his sister.
"Thank you.", Asana said.
