The IWMF Honorable Mention 2020 Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism

I am excited to announce that the International Women's Media Foundation IWMF has awarded me an honorary mention and recognized my work as a photojournalist for my work covering social upheavals since 2017. The project explores the social struggles that have increased in Puerto Rico after the approval of the federal law PROMESA, which brought about the imposition of a Fiscal Control Board that handles all financial decisions in the island, which is going through a bankruptcy process that threatens the continuation of essential services to the citizens.
