He has a bachelor's degree in Biology from The University of Abuja, after which he completed a postgraduate course on Photojournalism at The New York Institute of Photography and has attended several photography workshops/ Portfolio Reviews like VII Academy Foundry Photojournalism Workshop in Kigali, Magnum Portfolio Review & Editorial Photography Workshop, Blink & New York Times Portfolio Review in New York, Prism Photo Workshop and Canon Storytelling Workshop in Lagos. He is an Adobe Creative Residence Community Fund Recipient 2020, a nominee for World Press Photo 6X6 Global talent 2020, and has exhibited his work internationally.
KC is the co-founder of No! Wahala Magazine (A print photography magazine that champions African creatives), a member of Diversify Photo (a global collective of BIPOC visual Journalists), and African Photojournalism Database (APJD) (a joint project by World Press Photo and Everyday Africa). He has held talks at the Royal Photographic Society, World Press Photo, and Magnum Learn events. He also teaches photography on Skillshare and at various photography workshops. When KC is not on assignment, he works on his personal projects.
