Brief & Application Procedure


  • Your application must include the items listed below. The grant is open to active Visura members with a PLUS, PRIME or GUILD account. There is no application fee.

    There is no entry fee during the submission process.

    GENERAL:
  • • All submissions are made via a “Project” created from your Visura photographer's dashboard
  • • Projects need to include jpgs of the book and/or URL of project, a synopsis of the book and/or press kit
  • • Image size: minimum 1600px on the longest dimension(22.5 inches @ 72 dpi, JPG format)
  • • Include photographer/author bio, CV, URL of photographer/author and/or URL of project, a synopsis of the book and/or press kit 
  • • Limit one project per photographer.
  • • Projects may be 'published' or 'private' within the Visura system.
  • • Applicants must be active Visura members through April 2017

  • HOW TO SUBMIT:

    All submissions are made via a “Project” created from your Visura dashboard.

    WHO CAN SUBMIT:

    Visura photographers worldwide who have published a book in the last three months. All Applicants must have an active PLUS, PRIME or GUILD membership account to submit for consideration.

    WHAT TO SUBMIT:

    Each Entry consists of a short biography (1000 characters), CV, and one project from the photographer's website, Visura News Blog or Profile, a synopsis of the book and/or press kit. Each project will consist of a series of images (minimum of 15 images, maximum 25), and a written reflection about the project.

    Image size:

    Minimum 16000px on the longest dimension (22.5 inches @ 72 dpi, JPG format). Each image must have a caption. Do not include your name in the caption.

    Written Statements:

    In 500 words describe what the Book is about, including location, timeframe, and any other pertinent information, including the year the photos were taken. Please explain why the project is important to you.


    A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Open only to individuals who have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction at the time of entry, and DO NOT RESIDE WHERE PROHIBITED. Employees of Foto Visura Inc., and related parties are ineligible. Each entry consists of a project entry form, a series of photographs of the book, a project summary. Entries must be received by 11:59pm EST on June 15, 2016. One entry allowed per person. This is a merit-based contest and chance plays no part in the determination of winners.
