Halfway
Middle-sized city in the center of Poland, half way between mountains and the Baltic sea. Not rich nor really poor, with a typical story of region's industrial capital blossomed in the time of communism and loosing that position after 1989. The city's modest middle class while struggling to reach the western standard of living tries to change it's environment. All those aspirations and actions filtered by local mentality and applied on a place haunted by its past create a medley showing not only complex economical and social changes in the country but also some universal facts about smaller local communities.
