A man stands as fires rage in Nanterre. Thousands of people joined a "marche blanch" a Nanterre after the death of Nahel, 17, who was killed at close range by a policeman after refusing to stop. The death of the young man on June 27th 2023 sparked nights of rioting in Nanterre but also other cities near Paris and other parts of France.
