Silvia Ros is a Cuban-American, Miami-based photographer with a master’s degree in architecture. After over a decade as a museum photographer, she launched a busy freelance career, concentrating not only on her own creative projects such as Cuba Modern, Concrete Miami, Photographing Cuba: My Myth, My Reality, and Post 67: American Legion, American Stories, but serving as the official Art Basel Miami Beach photographer for five years, and with clients including Ford, Artsy and Instagram. In 2014 the Smithsonian National Museum of American History’s permanent collection acquired 86 of her photographs documenting the LGBTQA+ movement in the United States. Silvia has been awarded two Knight Foundation Miami Arts Challenge grants, two Oolite Art Creator Awards and four State of Florida Division of Arts and Culture grants. In 2024 her solo exhibition Connecting Concrete: Modernist Architecture from Havana to Miami, was presented at both MIA Galleries, Miami, and the Art Deco Museum, Miami Beach.
