Born in Madrid, ever since a child I've been interested in media, literature and visual arts.
I graduated in Advertising (BA Hons) working for some time as a creative copywriter, while broadening my interest in Documentary film and photography and focusing my attention in activism, community and participatory projects.
I moved to UK in 2009 in order to develop and organise an independent Spanish Film and Arts festival, after which I decided to resume my Photography studies, spending the following years involved in different creative initiatives, while developing my own photographic language.
For me, photography would be more than a practise an excuse to question oneself and the world around, explore all kind of human aspects, share the most intimate experiences, or access to the lives of complete strangers.
Currently based in Edinburgh, I'm gaining experience through portraiture, editorial, events and performing arts, as well as working on different long-term projects and the use of participatory photography.
My personal work combines a documentary approach, mainly focused on gender identity, memories, human relationships and social issues, with a narrative language, introducing cinematic elements and theatrical atmospheres.
On a collaborative sphere I enjoy any opportunity of working with artists from different disciplines, such as writers, dancers or filmmakers, and in general with anyone who is passionate about whatever they do.
Life is a learning process, and photography a great way of going through the lessons.
