I had graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology a few months before our first shoot. I spent the last year of school photographing gender identity and the transgender community in Rochester, New York. It was a constant source of inspiration. I briefly moved home after graduating and was looking to continue this work. Facebook (on a painfully slow dial-up connection), led me to the answer: Harrison had posted a status update about a "T-party", which I assumed meant testosterone. That was in 2011, and we've been collaborating together ever since:
