Sarina Finkelstein received her BFA in Photography from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO and her MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York. In 2010, she was a Critical Mass Finalist and one of 100 photographers to participate in Review Santa Fe. She has been a guest speaker for the Professional Women’s Photographers as well as a speaker and award recipient at the Society for Photographic Education National Conference.  She also was chosen to participate in Kevin Miyazaki's collect.give website and print release for charity.  Her current work is an exploration of modern-day gold prospectors in California, which has been featured as the cover story for The Daily, in the London Telegraph's Sunday magazine, SEVEN, Amica, on New York Times Lens, TIME.com, NPR.org, Discover Magazine’s Visual Science, Feature Shoot and Conscientious photo blogs.  She has exhibited at the Weitman Gallery in St. Louis, MO and Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, OR.  Finkelstein lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and fellow photographer,  David Leventi.
