Satyaki Ghosh is a self-schooled photographer based in Mumbai, India. People photography is his passion.Â
Satyaki was born in a middle class Bengali family in an old British colonial city Kolkata to the renowned photographer Nemai Ghosh who had worked with the legendary filmmaker, late Satyajit Ray. Satyaki also started his professional career on the sets of one of Ray’s famous film Ghare Baire (The Home and the World).Â
Satyaki started as lab assistant and learnt film processing and printing after finishing his graduation from St’ Xavier’s college. He grew up on a staple diet of meaningful cinema and Black & White photography. A keen observer of the bizarre human life, each of his frames appears so real that it seems to open a dialogue with the viewer. His illimited range of photography spans over Fashion, Lifestyle, Advertising, Reportage, Documentary shoots and the likes.Â
Satyaki has won several international awards. One of his campaigns Teach India has bagged Grand Prix in Spikes Asia and nominated in the Cannes for Lions.
