Gariahat is a busy place in south Kolkata. It is one of the populous places of the City of Joy. It is a favorite middle class hub, busy with hawkers and retailers.
Under the flyover games of chess and carom are played in open. The young as well as old are equally engrossed in the moves on the board. A passer by on his way back home after the tiring day finds time to peep into the game. The players as well as viewers both are totally undisturbed by the surrounding hustle bustle.
A few people are relaxing with a sip of tea and puffing soothingly. Some body is checking sms and some other is in his music world. Despite all the noise around some one has managed to concentrate in book.
