Fifty thousand people are mobilized every year for close to Lord Cautivo a carved wooden Christ carried in procession every October in the small town of Ayabaca, in the northern Andes of Peru. In fact, it's a miracle that so many people can live in such a small space. The Lord is credited the impossible: that lame walk again, heals the sick, drug addicts left wings addiction. In return, the penitents, do not hesitate to break hands, elbows, knees and back by rock and mud cordilleranos is an offering in exchange for a miracle. This festival is the subject of a great devotion ranging from pilgrims carry a cross on others who come to this town just with their backpacks. With them they bring musical instruments and songs attenuates the walk way to the Tierra del Cautivo. These groups of pilgrims are called "brotherhoods". The authorities cooperate with the faith of the pilgrims, socorriéndolos during the journey. We know of people with minor offenses purging prison and obtained permission to leave the penitentiary and fulfill his promise of "pilgrimage" to the Divine Cautivo. Fulfilled that promise return to his prison. As the story goes, in 1751 the Spanish priest Garcia Guerrero, wanted to give a picture of the Lord to his people, so he decided to use a trunk, which had sprung up blood after a farmer gave him a hack.Three men dressed in spotless white wool ponchos came to the village of Ayabaca. Albinos trotted to three spirited horses. Carvers were artists. And they pledged to carve the image Cautivo provided that the people to keep absolute secrecy about their presence Lord. Furthermore, no one should interrupt during its work and food would be served to them only at dawn. No villager had to watch them work.Time passed and ayabaquinos curiosity was stronger than his patience. They wanted to see the progress of work of the three mysterious knights. Villagers came to the house, called repeatedly and, getting no answer, they thought they had outwitted them. Then they forced open the door. Inside there was a person and the food was untouched. But before them he stood, imposing and majestic sculpture of a Nazarene with folded hands. Only then they realized that the authors were angels, only then they realized that the authors were angels.
