Summary
The oil spill on the coast of Peru occurred in the early morning of January 15, 2022 due to the fall of crude oil from the Italian-flagged ship Mare Doricum, rented by the Spanish company Repsol, in the seas of the Ventanilla district in the constitutional province of Callao, in Peru. The number of barrels spilled into the sea was 11,900.
