Born in Tehran, Iran, Sarah began her journey in photography at age seventeen as part of her high school Graphics course. Driven by an interest in human relations and socio-cultural issues, she pursued academic education in Photography, Art History, and Photojournalism across Iran, India, and Denmark. Recently, she completed her PhD research on the history of photography in Iran and the Parsis of India in the 19th century. Sarah's photographic engagements include participating in the Delhi Photo Festival 2015, receiving the Danish School of Media and Journalism Scholarship in 2016, attending the Angkor Photo Workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia, in 2018, and being awarded the Sahapedia Frames Photography Grant in 2019. Her book, Early Indo-Iranian Encounter: History & Photography, will be published soon.
