Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead in Guatemala is culturally simular but fundamentally different from it's neighbors tradition in Mexico. While both honor the dead and adorn the graves with flowers, in Guatemala intricate kites are built from paper and bamboo and flown around the graveyard to help guide the spirits back to earth.
