Short Synopsis:
By fortunate chance I met Erin Cuseo, 33, in Colorado, where she is a part of a young farming community's sustainable agriculture movement. Erin runs an Asian water buffalo ranch and a CSA farm with her partner Jose Miranda, 42. They practice an in-depth philosophy of lovingly taming their buffalo, reusing natural resources, and giving back to their community.

Written Reflection:
By fortunate chance I met Erin Cuseo, 33, in Colorado, where she is a part of a young farming community's sustainable agriculture movement. Erin and her partner, Jose Miranda, 42, run an Asian water buffalo ranch and a CSA farm; they have an in-depth philosophy of lovingly taming their buffalo, reusing natural resources, and giving back to their community. Erin, a single mom to Ayla, 8, and Archer, 6, once relied on food stamps to feed her children; thankfully now she provides for her kids from the bounty she grows. She never wants another mom to feel like she can't afford fresh vegetables for her children again, so she prices her produce as fairly as she is able, and she donates 10% of her harvest to people in need. You can see and feel her put her loving nature into tending to her children, cradling her vegetables, and caring for the buffalo.

With the recent IPCC report indicating we have only until 2030 to reverse climate change before we reach the point of no return, a sense of hopefulness comes from knowing that sustainable communities like Erin's are growing.
