Originally from New York City, Tish Lampert began her work as a photojournalist in London where she freelanced for numerous publications and newspapers, including The London Times, The Evening Standard, and Time Out Magazine. Lampert’s work focuses on human rights issues. She worked with the Cesar Chavez movement for migrant worker’s rights in the nineties and for ten years, worked with the Navajo Nation in Tuba City and Window Rock, Arizona. In her new book We Protest, Fighting for What We Believe In (Rizzoli), https://www.rizzoliusa.com/book/9780847867950/ Rizzoli's catalog description. photojournalist Tish Lampert captures the spirit of the heroes and ordinary citizens on their activist journey to defend their American values during the most conflicted era in our recent history. The book charts the chronology of social-change movements that have dominated the headlines over the past several years: the fight for women’s rights and gender equality, immigration rights, civil liberties, gun violence, the environment, and our right to vote. For decades Lampert’s lens has taken us to the front lines of activism, capturing our fight to defend our freedoms. We Protest is endorsed by Martin Sheen, Harry Belafonte, Vice President Kamala Harris, Nobel Peace Laureate Bobby Muller, producer/writer, Howard Gordon, Pulitzer prize winning author David Shipler, Gloria Steinem, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi, Nobel Laureate Jonathan Granoff, Maya Soetoro-Ng, & others.

Lampert, based in L.A., has spotlighted struggles across the globe, from Guatemala, to Sub Sahara Africa, and throughout the U.S.  For five years she served as media director and photographer for Voices of African Mothers at the United Nations. Tish‘s work for the United Nations has taken her to rebel-held territory, in the Congo, as well as to Ghana, Kenya, Burundi, and Rwanda.  She has exhibited in London, Vermont, at the United Nations, UCLA, Photo LA,(2016 & 2018), Fotografiska, N.Y, Malibu, Los Angeles, The Church of The Epiphany (Cesar Chavez's Migrant NGO : La Raza), Brentwood Ca., New Jersey, and again in New York.
