About
Bio
I am a South Asian multimedia journalist and visuals editor based in Wyoming, currently working as a visual journalist at the Buffalo Bulletin. I am drawn to stories that show hope amidst adversity and focus on the themes of race, social inequity, and the environment. In 2022, I received the Smith/Patterson Science Journalism Fellowship from the Pulitzer Center's Campus Consortium Program.

I graduated with an MA in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism in Columbia, MO, in 2024. During my time there, I worked as a visuals editor and staff photojournalist at the Columbia Missourian and interned at National Public Radio (NPR). Before transitioning into visual journalism, I earned a master’s degree in environmental sciences and gained valuable experience through internships and volunteer work in environmental conservation — which continue to shape my approach to storytelling.

I am also a member of the National Press Photographers Association, the Society of Environmental Journalists, and the Asian American Journalists Association.
