The events that took place on July 22, 1968, gave rise to the "Student Movement of 68´. For months, high school and university students along with some teachers were persecuted, imprisoned and shot, for demanding freedom for political prisoners, going against the measures taken by the Díaz Ordaz government, and demanding compensation for the victims.
This movement almost reached its end on October 2 of the same year, in the Massacre of Tlatelolco occurred in the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, during an ambush organized by the government where the number of dead it's a mystery.
In these portraits I show survivors of the '68 movement; fused with iconic images made by the official photographer Miguel Guitierrez Paredes, reflecting those moments where the survivors were part of the movement, even with some of them appearing in those photographs.
