I'm thrilled to share that my project, "Beyond the Dunes: Camel Genetics and the UAE's Cultural Legacy," has been published in this month's edition of National Geographic Arabia. This is my third cover story with them, following Women in Falconry and Mangroves: Meet UAE's Carbon Guardians.

As the UAE celebrates its 2nd December 2024 National Day and 2024 is declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Camelids, I'm honored to contribute to the global appreciation of these remarkable animals.

This projecthighlights efforts to preserve the legacy of camels-a cornerstone of UAE heritage-through advanced cell and embryopreservation techniques, ensuring theirgenetic diversity and cultural significanceendure for future generations.A heartfelt thank you to the National Geographic Arabia team for supporting this vision.
