John West

John West is a documentary photographer with over 15 years of professional experience in the field of photography and photojournalism. West received his bachelor of arts in photojournalism from Point Park University in Pittsburgh and his master of arts in interactive media from Elon University. For the past 17 years, he has photographed extensively for media outlets, both online and traditional print. His focus is now on documentary work through the art of visual communication. Extensive and ongoing is his work, which encompasses many facets of social documentary observation translated into a visual story. West will plan and create interactive multimedia content consisting of text, images, audio, video, and graphics. His knowledge of interactive media will help him manage and develop visual information for interactive documentaries, persuasive communications projects, and documentary films. Through the documentary approach, he will bring viewers into new worlds and experiences through interactive presentations and visual and factual information about people, places, and events, through the use of new and traditional media.
