The firefighters of Firehouse 235 in Brooklyn, New York are shaped by the absolute trust they share with one another. This photo essay examines the veiled intimacy of the firehouse environment. There are 30 firefighters, two lieutenants, one captain, three battalion chiefs, and one engine at firehouse 235. I invite you to observe the complicated and nuanced relationship these firefighters have with one another and their firehouse.
