Wadah Omer

My name is Wadah Omer, I’m Sudanese photojournalist and documentary photographer based in Kampala-Uganda. I believe that images can communicate complex stories more effectively than words, whether it be about social unrest, Sufism, refugees, or environmental issues. Capturing moments that can give context to these global and local issues inspired me to explore photography as a way to contribute to positive change. Whether it's documenting resilience in challenging situations or photograph the scene from social activism, I’ve come to see photojournalism as an essential tool for raising awareness and inspiring action.
