Over years of poking into the dusty corners and vibrant streets of Asia, primarily as a chief photographer with The Associated Press, and now as an independent photographer, I've developed the knack of quickly connecting with people, and bringing their stories to life. I've covered many of the regions most critical situations from Afghanistan to Fiji; providing dramatic, and imaginative imagery ranging from armed conflict to the daily lives of ordinary people facing the pressures of life-altering change. I also specialize in producing dynamic, storytelling imagery to a select group of companies and aid organizations. My approach to making images whether documenting a subject for a news organization or a multinational corporation is people focused, leading to creative, compelling stories which look beyond the surface to the often hidden heart of the matter. My work has been featured in many of the world's most influential media including The New York Times, Time magazine, Newsweek, Stern, The Guardian, The Washington Post and many others. I've also worked with companies like Nestle, HSBC, and Facebook helping to tell their stories through the eyes of their employees, customers and stakeholders. I live in Jakarta with my wife and 6 highly entertaining dogs.
