Hiba Zouane was born in Algiers, Algeria where she currently resides. With a burning passion for photography, she got her hands on her first camera. Self-taught in the art, she decided to distill her vision in a first photo series called 'Allegory of Eve', capturing the daily struggle of Algerian women in their society. She soon joined "Tilawin", a mentoring program solely dedicated to women photographers living in Algeria and its diaspora. Boldened and further skilled in her craft, Hiba decided to start "Hier Encore" , a long term project examining the life of her relatives during times of loneliness and isolation. Her first exhibition took place in 2021 in HilbertRaum an independant space for contemporary art in Berlin
