Inspired by her upbringing in California's agricultural San Joaquin Valley, Tulare, her work is rooted in addressing the complexities of migration. With a focus on labor workers, gender, and displacement, she seeks to make meaningful and impactful work. Zaydee is an International Women's Media Foundation grantee and both a USC Annenberg Center for Health Journalist and Economic Hardship Reporting Project Fellow.
