There is undeniably a power in objects, whether it be a placebo belief or an identifiable aspect, power is present. What makes an item special? Is it the inherited value placed by its owner or is there a deeper reason as to what the value of something may be? It’s very interesting how pieces of furniture, paper, clothes, sticks, data, algorithms, buildings, and other inanimate object determines who controls power, without these objects the positions of power is incomplete. An example is a famous person or celebrities' items/memorabilia. There is nothing particularly special about that notebook, except that it was owned by Pablo Escobar. This prestige or status within society elevates the value of an item, and ultimately its power. The way power flows through these objects for years is very intriguing, people come and go but these objects are here to stay, so is power
