Inspired during a trip to Iceland, I have been thinking about and researching concepts of time - geologic time, time as a human construct, etc. - and photographing areas where all facets of deep time appear to be on view simultaneously. (Like the cooling, recent lava flows, fields of volcanic rock, and black sand beaches of Iceland.)
