Public Project
San Pietro, Rome
"Capturing life around St. Peter's Basilica in a natural way, without necessarily emphasizing the religious aspect, with the priority of always being elegant and, when possible, also different."
So I spent the rest of my academic year going there with my camera whenever I was inspired. I took over 1,000 images to finally create a personal collection of about 100 photos. Then I passed a selection test to all the people I knew, no matter age, nationality, gender or religion, discovering that there were 12 photos that everyone liked .... "a calendar!", I thought.
After the rejection of the publishing houses in Rome specialized in dealing with the subject, although in a more classical way, as they told me, and once I settled in Milan the year after (where I lived for 3 years), I decided to present the project to the editorials in that city, starting with the main one and ... bingo! LemArt Group was fascinated by the proposal and hired me the worldwide publishing rights.
At that time, the house was the exclusive owner for the whole of Italy of the reproduction rights of Disney, Picasso or Van Gogh, among other icons of art history.
Distributed in 6 languages with the title "FAITH - Città del Vaticano by Antonio Moreno", two complete editions were sold, totaling 2,500 copies, among museums and bookstores around the world.
This project was also responsible for acquiring the artistic name Antonio Boalis years later. If you are curious, you can read the whole story here.
