We see colours because our brain responds to the colours of the objects we see; there can be many of it called chroma. Derived from the Greek word ‘Xpua’ or ‘khrôma’, chroma (/krəʊmə/) means the degree to which a colour is pure or strong. The word 'chroma' is found in colour-related words: chromosome, chromatic, monochrome, etc. The psychological impact of light and colour on the human body and emotions has been proven through various studies. Besides, many cultures have used light and colour to represent brands, social movements, etc. For example, the rainbow ‘Pride Flag’ represents the diversity in the LGBTQIA+ community and the spectrum of human sexuality and gender.
