Friday night about 19.00hrs on the 20/12/24 I got a call from my desk just saying that there were some ,as yet, unconfirmed reports of an incident in Magdeburg at a Christmas market and it might be an idea for me to just make sure all my kit is together. Ten minutes later it was confirmed to go. I spent 3 days in total across at Magdeburg for Getty. The death rate has so far now risen to 5 and injured 200.
